"Plant trees while you search the web"

The University of Zakho is pleased to announce interesting news to its staff and students. From now on, valuable searches conducted using the Ecosia Browser will contribute to planting trees around the world.

What is Ecosia?

Ecosia is an environmentally friendly search engine that uses its advertising revenue to plant trees around the world. Like other search engines such as Google or Bing, Ecosia allows users to search the web, but its key difference is that its profits go toward forestation and conservation projects.

Through the link below, you can install the Ecosia Program on your mobile, laptop, or office computer. The more you use it, the more trees will be planted in the name of the University of Zakho. Additionally, reports on the number of trees planted and updates will be sent to the university.

It is worth mentioning that the Ecosia Browser is officially used by universities worldwide. So far, 25 universities globally have adopted Ecosia as their main search engine for students. The University of Zakho has also decided to adopt this initiative to protect the environment.

Currently, more than 280 universities worldwide are striving to make Ecosia their primary search engine for the benefit of the environment.

Steps for Use:
